1.5 Million-square-foot Industrial Project Proposed for 100 Acres in Mesa

A proposed industrial project in Mesa would cover more than 100 acres and cost up to $150 million, if the project is approved by Mesa City Council.

The AirPark 202 project would consist of six buildings, totaling 1.5 million square feet of new “high-quality” industrial space. It is being proposed on the southeast corner of Warner and Sossaman roads in Mesa, just north of the Loop 202 and the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

To move forward, the project needs to have some zoning changes approved by City Council during its upcoming Aug. 30 meeting. In July, Mesa’s Zoning and Planning Board approved the project 6-0.

In its proposal to the city of Mesa, AirPark’s developers Las Vegas-based LaPour Partners and Scottsdale Investment Management, said they would invest approximately $150 million during the construction of the project that is meant to “accommodate the rapidly growing demand from e-commerce companies, the relocation and expansion of manufacturing and assembly uses as well as local/regional market firms that service the growing East Valley population.”
