Glendale Could Annex Land for Industrial Development Near Luke AFB, Loop 303

Glendale could annex nearly 180 acres of land on two sites for proposed light industrial facilities on the northwest side of Luke Air Force Base.

If annexed and rezoned, developers plan to build a 1.6 million-square-foot industrial facility with five buildings and a 1.1-million-square-foot industrial facility on the sites near the Loop 303 and Northern Parkway.

After a public hearing for the annexation at an Aug. 17 Glendale City Council meeting, the planning commission will vote to recommend rezoning the sites on Sept. 2. The site annexation and rezoning will tentatively be voted on by Council on Sept. 28, the city said.
